Aahwahan volunteers visiting an elderly resident

Overview

Aahwahan's old age care programme supports elderly residents who have effectively been left behind as younger family members migrate to cities in search of work. Many of these older adults live alone or with limited support nearby, managing daily life — health, food, household needs — without the family presence that would once have been close at hand. The programme is built around this specific and increasingly common situation, offering elderly support and basic provisions to those affected by it.
