Our missions

Flood, cyclone and drought remove the things a household depends on in a single stroke — shelter, clean water, food, medicine and the income that would replace them. Our stated commitment is to respond quickly to emergencies and to ensure the availability of exclusive facilities for rapid response to our partners, so that relief moves while it still matters.

How we work

The response runs in stages, because a family needs different things in week one and month six.

  1. 1

    Immediate relief distribution

Food, drinking water, shelter material, blankets and essential supplies moved into the affected area as access opens — carried by volunteers already living in the districts we work in.

  2. 2

    Medical response

The mobile health fleet redirected into the affected area — general consultation, medicines and the laboratory that lets a waterborne outbreak be caught before it spreads.

  3. 3

    Rehabilitation

The long half: restoring schooling, livelihoods and water infrastructure once the emergency has passed and the attention has moved on.
