Rehabilitation
Restoring schooling, livelihoods and water infrastructure after an emergency.

Overview
Once the immediate emergency passes, the harder and slower work begins: helping a community return to something resembling normal life. That covers restoring schooling for children whose classrooms or routines have been disrupted, supporting livelihoods for families who have lost income or tools of their trade, and rebuilding water infrastructure damaged by the disaster. Rehabilitation is less visible than emergency relief, but it is what determines whether a community actually recovers.
