A volunteer teaching children

Overview

When you volunteer with Teach & Mentor, you spend time with children who need a steady, familiar face more than a fixed syllabus. Through Education on Wheels and the learning centres, you help with reading, basic maths and everyday life skills — the kind of steady groundwork that classroom teachers often don't have spare hours for. Some days that means sitting with a child who is stuck on a page; other days it means a small group activity or just listening. You don't need a teaching degree, just patience and a willingness to show up.
