Lakeside & water body plantation
Planting that stabilises the banks of lakes and water bodies.
Back to Environment

Overview
This initiative plants trees and vegetation along the banks of lakes, ponds and other water bodies, with the specific purpose of holding the soil in place and helping the water body itself recover. It is planting done for the edge and the water as much as for the land — addressing the erosion, siltation and shrinking that many local lakes and ponds face as their surrounding vegetation disappears.
