New desks and benches installed at an adopted school

Overview

Government school adoption is Aahwahan's programme of investing directly in the physical infrastructure of existing government schools, rather than building new ones from scratch. The idea is straightforward: a school that looks cared for and is properly equipped makes the children inside it feel a sense of pride, which in turn supports their motivation and everyday learning. The Foundation has adopted more than 248 schools so far, spanning both urban neighbourhoods and rural settings, working within the government system rather than around it.
